The Milwaukee 2623-20 M18 Planer's depth adjustment is pretty nifty. It features a dial with 20 locking positions, which makes it super easy to fine-tune your cuts. That level of precision is great for detailed woodworking projects where you need surfaces to be just right, like when you're tackling custom furniture pieces.
As for its cordless setup, it's a real game-changer—especially if you're working in areas without easy access to power outlets. The M18 battery gives you the freedom to move around without dealing with cords.
Our research suggests that even though the planer is a bit heavier compared to some corded models, folks generally appreciate its balance of power and portability. Plus, it's designed with an ergonomic handle to keep you comfortable, even if you're using it for long stretches.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the battery might drain a bit faster during tougher jobs. But since the M18 battery is compatible with other Milwaukee tools, it's relatively easy to manage power consumption.
Overall, if you need a planer that can handle some serious work with precise depth control, the Milwaukee 2623-20 is worth considering.
