The Milwaukee 2623-20 M18 3-1/4" Planer does a fantastic job when it comes to dealing with different types of wood. Whether you’re a pro or you just love tinkering with projects on the weekend, this tool brings some well-thought-out features to the table.
Nailing Precision
One of its highlights is the adjustable depth settings. Our research points out that the 20-position depth adjustment dial offers solid control over the thickness you want, which makes a huge difference in projects where precision is key – say for detailed carpentry work or crafting intricate DIY pieces.
Quality Blades
The dual blade cutting head is another thing worth mentioning. It's designed to give you a smooth finish, and based on our findings, it does a bang-up job whether you're tackling rough or fine woodwork. Folks have mentioned how sharp and reliable the blades are for getting those clean, even cuts.
Power to Spare
Running on Milwaukee's M18 system, this planer delivers strong performance and plays nicely with other M18 tools you might have. If you’re already using Milwaukee, you'll appreciate not having to juggle different batteries and chargers.
Freedom of Movement
The cordless design is a real plus. According to our research, many appreciate the double chip ejection feature that lets you direct chips left or right, depending on your setup. This flexibility is not something you usually get with corded models, and it’s a handy feature in diverse working conditions.
Things to Keep in Mind
Some have noted that it’s on the heavier side, but most agree that the performance more than makes up for it. For longer tasks, consider a high-capacity battery to keep it running strong without too many recharges.
In a nutshell, this planer mixes power, precision, and flexibility pretty well. It stands up to a variety of wood types and could be a great fit for your woodworking arsenal.
