The NETGEAR EAX12 WiFi Extender is pretty handy if you're trying to improve your home WiFi coverage, especially for tough spots where your signal is weak. The manufacturer says it can extend coverage by up to 1,200 sq. ft. and handle over 15 devices at once, which is awesome for streaming, gaming, or video calls with those AX1600 dual-band speeds.
From what we've found, setting it up is generally straightforward for most folks. It usually only takes a few minutes. You can use the Nighthawk app or even just press the WPS button to link it to your router. If you're already using the Nighthawk app, that'll make things even easier.
That said, while it's compatible with most routers or modem routers, some people hit a few snags at first. They reported having to go through several setup guides or tweak settings, which can get a bit annoying. There were a few mentions of dodgy customer service or unstable connections initially, but these issues aren't super common.
Just make sure your current router is compatible, and be ready to spend a little time setting it up and ironing out any kinks.
But generally, once it's working smoothly, the EAX12 does what it's supposed to, improving coverage and connection stability in those hard-to-reach places. If you’re patient and maybe reach out for a bit of help if needed, this extender can make a big difference to your wireless network at home.
From what we've seen, it's a solid choice if you're looking to boost your WiFi's reliability and reach.
