The Litter-Robot 3 Connect has some cool features, but like any gadget, it can have its quirks. From what we've found, a common issue is with its connection to the Whisker app. The app is great for getting alerts when the waste drawer is full and for keeping an eye on things remotely. However, these features often depend more on how stable your Wi-Fi connection is, rather than how fast it is.
The manufacturer doesn't mention a specific Wi-Fi speed requirement, but having a stable network is important for everything to work smoothly. If you keep the Litter-Robot close to your router, it usually helps avoid any connection problems. Some folks have noticed that updates might not always come through correctly, or the app might cut out now and again. If that's happening, boosting your signal with a Wi-Fi extender could help.
There’s also the occasional need to manually reset the app or device, especially if the app isn't showing the correct status of the litter box. This can be annoying, but keeping a strong and steady Wi-Fi connection can make things run a lot smoother.
And then there's the issue of the waste drawer—some people find they need to clean it out more than they expected, depending on their pets' habits. Keeping track of the app's alerts and setting a cleaning routine can help with this.
Overall, the Litter-Robot 3 Connect offers a handy way to deal with pet litter, but keeping your Wi-Fi stable and doing regular maintenance can really make the experience better.
