The Havahart 5277 Critter Ridder seems to do a pretty good job at keeping deer and other animals out of gardens and lawns. It uses motion detection to spray water at critters, which is harmless but effectively startles them.
According to our research, the gadget has an infrared sensor that detects movement up to 100 feet away. When it spots something, it sends a quick blast of water, making it an eco-friendly way to protect your yard without causing any harm. Plus, it only uses 2-3 cups of water per spray, so water consumption isn't much of a worry.
Feedback from others suggests it's successful at keeping animals like deer at bay. People have had good results after setting it up, but there are a few things to watch out for. You might need to tweak the sensitivity settings because otherwise, it could go off in the wind or from other non-animal motions, wasting a bit of water.
There were also a few mentions about the construction quality. It's made from plastic and metal, which seems decent for regular use, but if you plan to keep it outside in rough weather, it might not hold up as well over time.
Overall, it sounds like the Havahart 5277 does really well in shooing away unwanted wildlife. Just keep in mind, you might need to experiment a bit to get it working just right for your garden or yard.
