How often you'll need to empty the Litter-Robot 3 Connect really depends on how many cats are using it. According to our research, if you only have one cat, you can expect to empty the waste drawer about once a week.

But if you have more, especially two or more, you'll probably be emptying it every few days to keep things tidy and avoid overflows.

The manufacturer mentions it's designed for homes with up to four cats, as long as each cat weighs at least 5 lbs, so it can self-clean properly. It connects to the Whisker app, which can let you know when the drawer is full, though some folks have mentioned that the alerts can be a bit spotty.

Most cat owners find that their pets get used to the Litter-Robot quickly and enjoy the cleaner setup. However, it's a good idea to keep an eye on the litter level—keeping it consistent helps everything run smoothly.

Some have reported issues like unbalanced cycles or mechanical alerts if the litter isn't just right.

Overall, while there are some quirks to be aware of, this self-cleaning litter box seems to be a hit for keeping odors down and cutting back on scooping duties.

You might want to just make sure you get familiar with the app’s settings to make the most of its notifications.
