The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra S Pen does not support Bluetooth features. Samsung removed Bluetooth connectivity from the S Pen starting with the S25 Ultra.
Features No Longer Available
- Remote camera shutter control
- Air Actions (gesture controls)
- Presentation slide navigation
- Media playback control from a distance
Samsung removed these based on data showing less than 1% of users utilized Bluetooth S Pen features.
What the S Pen Still Does
Productivity
- Write and draw with pressure sensitivity
- Convert handwriting to text instantly
- Translate text by hovering over it
- Annotate screenshots and documents
Creative Tools
- Create detailed illustrations
- AI Drawing transforms sketches into artwork
- Access Creative Studio for artistic effects
Navigation
- Air View preview by hovering
- Air Command quick-access menu
- AI Select for on-screen manipulation
No Charging Needed
Without Bluetooth, the S Pen requires no charging. Store it in the phone's built-in slot when not in use.
Design Update
The S26 Ultra S Pen features a redesigned shape with an asymmetrical arc to match the phone's curvier design. Unlike previous models, it must be inserted in the correct orientation—it's no longer reversible.
Need Remote Features?
For users who require Bluetooth functionality like remote photography or presentation control, the S Pen Pro is sold separately and maintains full Bluetooth support while working with the S26 Ultra.
Bottom line: The S Pen loses some convenience features but retains all core writing, drawing, and productivity capabilities that most users rely on.
