The OnePlus 15 camera delivers capable everyday photography, though it's a mixed picture compared to its predecessor—the OnePlus 13.
Camera Specifications
| Camera | Resolution | Key Feature | |--------|-----------|-------------| | Main | 50MP | Improved low-light | | Ultrawide | 50MP | Wide field of view | | Telephoto | 50MP | 3.5x optical, 120x digital zoom | | Front | 32MP | Autofocus, RGBW sensor |
Photo Quality by Scenario
Daylight: Crisp, natural-looking photos with excellent color balance. Images are sharp without artificial oversharpening.
Low-Light: Auto night mode activates automatically with balanced highlights. Textures can appear smoothed when zoomed in.
The Hasselblad Situation
OnePlus ended its Hasselblad partnership, replacing it with the in-house DetailMax Engine. Reviews note hardware downgrades including smaller sensors, fewer lens elements, and narrower apertures.
Consistency Concerns
The main criticism: the three cameras produce photos with different tonal balances, unlike Apple or Samsung's unified color processing.
Video Capabilities
Video is a strong point:
- 4K at 120fps with Dolby Vision HDR
- 8K at 30fps on main camera
- Log recording with live LUT preview
- Solid stabilization
Bottom Line
The camera works well for social media and everyday use. Serious photographers should compare shots with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra or iPhone 16 Pro.
