Understanding IP69
IP Rating Breakdown:
- First digit (6): Complete dust protection

IP69 vs IP68 Comparison
| Protection | IP68 (Most Flagships) | IP69 (OnePlus 15) | |------------|----------------------|-------------------| | Dust | Complete | Complete | | Water submersion | 1.5m for 30 min | 1.5m for 30 min | | Pressure water jets | Not rated | Protected | | Hot water jets | Not rated | Up to 80°C (176°F) |
Practical Protection
The IP69 rating means the OnePlus 15 confidently handles:
- Accidental drops in water (sinks, pools, puddles)
- Heavy rain exposure
- Cleaning under running faucets
- Steam and humid environments
Additional Build Quality
Beyond water resistance:
- Display: Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2
- Back: Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2
- Frame: Aluminum construction
- Ports: Sealed design
Important Notes
While the OnePlus 15 offers excellent water resistance:
- Standard warranty does not cover water damage
