The Vornado TRANSOM Window Fan is designed to fit snugly in most windows, thanks to its 'Perfect Fit' adjustable seal. This seal helps to keep out outside air and debris, making the fan more efficient and effective.
According to our research, many people are happy with how well it seals once installed. They mention that it does a good job of blocking drafts, dust, and even insects. For instance, one person noted that the seal significantly cut down on the dust and bugs coming through, which was way better than their old fan. Another mentioned that the seal helped maintain their indoor temperature by minimizing outside air getting in.
Some folks did mention that getting a perfect seal might take a few adjustments. One person said they had to reposition the fan a couple of times to get it just right. Once they did, the seal worked as expected.
Also, keep in mind that the seal's effectiveness can depend on the specific shape and condition of your window frame. If your window isn’t perfectly square or is slightly warped, you might have to tinker a bit more.
But overall, it seems like the fan’s adjustable seal does a good job accommodating different window sizes and shapes.
So, in general, the Vornado TRANSOM Window Fan should give you a good seal, especially after some fine-tuning during installation. People have found it effective at keeping out unwanted air, dust, and insects, which improves comfort and air quality.
