Hey there! So, about the Scosche MPWD2-XTPR MagicMount Pro and its suction cup...
This mount's suction cup is pretty solid and can stick to a variety of surfaces, like dashboards and windshields. According to the manufacturer's description, it's designed to hold on tightly, which is super important for keeping your phone in place, especially when you're driving.
From what we've gathered, it works great on flat and clean surfaces. A little prep goes a long way, so just make sure the area is clean and dry before you stick it on. Some folks mentioned that if you're in a hot climate, it might be smart to check on it occasionally since heat can mess with the suction.
People seem to love how easily the MagicMount can be moved around, thanks to the suction cup setup. Just a heads-up, giving both the mount and the surface a quick wipe now and then can help keep it sticking like a charm.
Oh, and don't forget about the magnets! Those Rare-Earth neodymium magnets it uses add an extra layer of security, which is great if you have a heavier phone like the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Overall, most folks seem pretty happy with its tackiness and versatility, as long as you keep up with those little maintenance tips. If keeping things securely in place is what you're after, it sounds like this could be a reliable choice for you.
