The Scosche MPWD2-XTPR MagicMount Pro is a pretty flexible magnetic phone holder, and it generally works well with different phone cases.

If you have an iPhone 12 or newer with MagSafe, though, it's worth noting that it won't work with MagSafe directly.

Luckily, it comes with something called a MagicPlate that you can stick onto your phone or case to help it hold securely.

According to our research, folks seem to like the strong grip it has. Even larger phones, like the Samsung Fold series, are held in place nicely.

Just be sure to attach the MagicPlate correctly on your phone or case—getting the position right is key. Thicker cases or wrong placement might mess up the magnetic hold a bit.

One more thing: this mount doesn't do wireless charging. So, if you want to charge your phone while it's up there, you'll need to use a charging cable, since it won't charge wirelessly through the mount.

In the end, if you're cool with setting things up—like placing that MagicPlate and plugging in a charger—the Scosche MPWD2-XTPR MagicMount Pro is still a solid pick, even if you have a MagSafe phone or care about wireless charging.

Its minimal design and solid hold are things people seem to appreciate, as long as you're okay with these small adjustments.
