The Scosche MPWD2-XTPR MagicMount Pro has a reputation for being pretty reliable when it comes to holding your phone on things like your car dashboard or windshield. The magnet in this mount is a Rare-Earth neodymium magnet, which is known for its solid grip. So, it's likely to keep your phone in place even if you're dealing with a rocky road or an unexpected stop.
It's designed to be cradle-free, so you can easily use it with one hand—a handy feature if you're driving and need to check navigation or take a call, making the whole process a bit safer.
From what we found, people generally speak highly of the magnet's and adhesive's strength. A lot of folks are happy with how the suction cup holds up on windshields over time, even for years. Just make sure you install it on a clean, flat surface, and it should work well.
However, there have been some mentions of issues when trying to use it on textured or curved surfaces. In those cases, the suction might not be as strong, especially in hot weather or after long use. Also, placing the metal MagicPlate correctly on your phone is important for the best magnetic hold.
The magnet's performance can change a bit based on your phone's size and weight. If your phone is heavier or larger, the grip might not be as tight if it's not placed just right. So, consider that when setting up your MagicMount Pro.
Overall, people like its strong magnetic grip and ease of use, but to get the best out of it, make sure to follow installation tips closely and check how well it matches your mounting surface.
