The Nextbase 622GW Dash Cam has some pretty cool features, like 4K video quality, Alexa support, and built-in GPS. A lot of people find it easy to install and love the detailed footage it captures.
It also includes handy features like Emergency SOS and Extreme Weather Mode. Sounds great, right? But, there are a few things to watch out for.
From what we've seen, the app connectivity isn't always reliable. The dash cam and the app sometimes have trouble staying connected, which can make it tough to manage your footage. If you're someone who plans to use your phone a lot for this, it might be a bit frustrating.
Battery reliability is another thing to keep in mind. Quite a few folks have reported that the built-in battery doesn't last as long as they'd hoped, sometimes failing right after the warranty period ends. This can mess with its recording capabilities, especially if you're not hardwiring it into your car.
Customer service from Nextbase seems to be hit or miss, particularly around these battery and app issues. There are several reports of people being unhappy with the support they got, especially when trying to get repairs or replacements just after their warranty expired. This can be pretty annoying if you're left with a non-working unit.
To sum it up, the Nextbase 622GW Dash Cam is great for video quality and features, but you should also be aware of these potential drawbacks.
If having a reliable app connection and solid customer service are really important for you, you might want to take a look at other options too.
