Price Comparison to Original Switch
The Switch 2 costs $150 more than the original Switch's 2017 launch price of $299.99. However, this increase reflects substantial hardware upgrades:
- 4K output support with DLSS technology
- 12GB of RAM (up from 4GB)
- Larger 7.9-inch 1080p display
- Ray tracing capabilities
- Improved Joy-Con 2 magnetic controllers
Best Value Recommendation
If you're planning to buy Mario Kart World—and most buyers are since it's the flagship launch title—the bundle saves you money compared to purchasing separately. The game would cost $60–70 on its own, making the bundle the smarter choice for most buyers.
