The North Face Wawona 6P Tent is designed to fit six people comfortably, so it's a solid option for families or small groups heading outdoors. According to the manufacturer's description, the tent aims to provide enough space for everyone and their gear, so you should have a good amount of room to relax and store your stuff.
From what we've found, the tent has a roomy setup that many people find practical. It includes a large vestibule area that offers extra space for storing gear, hanging out in the shade, or keeping dry while entering and exiting. This extra space can make the tent feel even more comfortable for everyone.
However, there are some mixed opinions about the ease of setting up the tent and the quality of its materials. Some folks have had issues with the tent poles breaking or not fitting quite right during setup, which is worth keeping in mind. It's a good idea to check all the parts before you head out on a long trip.
There's a unique sleeve system for inserting the poles that might be tricky if you're new to it. While it adds structural support, it can be a bit frustrating, especially in bad weather.
Also, some people have mentioned quality control problems, like missing parts for staking the vestibule properly. If this happens to you, it's best to get in touch with the manufacturer quickly to get it sorted out.
Despite these possible hiccups, the tent is often praised for its spaciousness and ability to withstand typical weather conditions. If you're thinking about its capacity, six people should fit fine unless you're dealing with really bad weather.
Just make sure you're ready with some backup stakes or poles to keep things sturdy if the winds pick up. Overall, it's a decent choice for a roomy group camping experience, as long as you're prepared during the setup.
