From what we've found, the UNOKKI 17 Key Kalimba generally has solid sound quality, even when you're hitting those higher notes. People often say the higher notes sound bright and resonant, making them great for cheerful melodies.
The manufacturer mentions that it's made with quality materials to boost sound performance, and it seems like the wood really helps in making the sound clear and resonant. They also test each note to ensure they all sound good, which is pretty reassuring.
Interestingly, quite a few people who have used it say it still sounds crisp and vibrant in the higher ranges, where some kalimbas can struggle with a muted or tinny sound. This might be thanks to the attention they pay to key alignment and the quality steel keys.
It also comes with a handy instruction book and a tuning hammer, which people find useful for getting to grips with the instrument and keeping it in tune. That's especially important for nailing those higher notes where even a slight mistuning can make a difference.
Some folks transitioning from more traditional instruments mention a bit of a learning curve, but most agree that it's an enjoyable experience. Plus, its lightweight design makes it easy to take anywhere and enjoy playing it anytime.
So, if you’re looking for a kalimba that sounds great, especially in the higher notes, the UNOKKI seems like a pretty solid choice according to what we've found.
