The Authentic Granite Key Stone by Funky Rock Designs is a neat little option for hiding spare keys outside. Based on the manufacturer's description, it's handmade in Coastal Maine and looks just like a garden stone but with a secret compartment inside to store keys. It's like having a normal rock that doubles as a discreet key holder, blending right into your garden or flower bed.
From what we've found, folks really like how naturally it fits into their outdoor spaces. It keeps your garden looking nice without making it obvious that there's a spare key hidden inside.
But, heads up on a couple of things. While it looks great, it's not water-resistant. So, if you've got keys inside, try to keep them in a spot that's not going to get soaked whenever it rains.
Some also pointed out a few quality issues. Sometimes, the bottom of the stone isn't perfectly flat, which can mess with how the rubber plug fits to keep the key secure inside. It's worth checking yours out to make sure it all works as it should.
There's also the size to think about. It might look bigger in the garden, but be prepared for the size to feel a bit different than expected.
All in all, it's a clever way to keep your keys hidden in plain sight. Just keep an eye on those size and water details to make sure it works out well for your setup.
