Setting up the Aura Mason WiFi Digital Picture Frame is pretty straightforward, as the manufacturer describes it. You just connect it to your 2.4GHz WiFi network using the Aura app, which works on both iOS and Android devices. Just a heads-up, it doesn't work with 5GHz networks, so if your home mainly runs on that, you might need to adjust your settings a bit.
Once your WiFi is good to go, the Aura app lets you easily upload photos and videos straight from your device to the frame. From what we've gathered, many folks find the app makes transferring photos a breeze. Plus, you get unlimited cloud storage for your photos without extra fees, so no stress about hitting a limit. Having a steady internet connection helps since the frame streams photos continuously.
One thing to keep in mind: the Aura Mason doesn't have onboard storage, so you'll need that WiFi connection for displaying images. The screen rocks a 1600x1200 resolution, offering a sharp and colorful display that lots of people seem to like, based on our research.
There are a couple of quirks, though. Instead of a touchscreen, it uses a touch bar for flipping through photos, which some find less intuitive. Also, the frame might crop photos automatically to fit the display—something to watch for if you're picky about how your pictures appear.
Another small thing is that the brightness isn't adjustable, and this gets mentioned a bit too.
All in all, if you're looking for a frame that makes sharing photos easy and shows them in great quality, the Aura Mason could be a good match. Just make sure your WiFi setup is compatible, and you'll be set to enjoy your photo collection with ease!
