The Etekcity Smart Scale generally gets good feedback for its accuracy in measuring both body weight and fat. The manufacturer says it uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) technology to estimate body fat percentage, muscle mass, and other metrics. This method is quite common in smart scales and usually gives pretty accurate readings if you're using it right.
Just make sure to place it on a hard, flat surface for the best results. Our research shows the weight measurements are usually spot-on, even compared to pricier professional scales. For body fat, it's decent but not perfect—some folks noticed slight differences when compared to more specialized equipment like DEXA scans. These differences are pretty normal for consumer-grade scales though, so it's good enough for everyday use.
Another thing people like is how well it syncs with Apple Health via the VeSync app. This makes it super easy to track everything in one place.
Overall, it's a solid scale with a nice mix of accuracy and convenience, especially if you're using Apple Health.
