Yep, the Vornado TRANSOM AE Window Fan works with Alexa. You can control it using voice commands, which is pretty handy if you already have other smart devices at home.
The manufacturer mentions that it integrates seamlessly with Alexa, letting you turn it on and off, tweak the settings, or set schedules just by talking to it or using the Alexa app. This kind of convenience can make everyday tasks a bit easier, especially if you like hands-free control over your gadgets.
From what we've found, the fan does a good job of moving air quietly, especially on its lower settings, which is great for nighttime use. But keep in mind, it's not the most powerful fan out there, so if you need something for a bigger space or really hot conditions, you might want to check out other options like Bionaire.
Another neat feature is its auto-shutoff function, which keeps the room at a set temperature by turning the fan off once it’s reached. Some folks have mentioned that the thermostat can be a bit finicky, though, especially when the indoor and outdoor temperatures are close. This might cause the fan to turn on and off more often than you'd like.
As for design, it seems aimed at being functional. Some people have run into issues with the foam block installation, noting that it can leave gaps. Still, many think it's a good fit for smaller rooms or bedrooms where quiet operation is key.
So, if you're looking for smart home integration, quiet operation, and automatic temperature control, the Vornado TRANSOM AE could be worth considering. But if you need stronger airflow for larger rooms, you may need to look for something else. Just think about what’s most important for your needs.
