The Hudson Hi-Fi SpaceBen Record Weight Stabilizer seems to help with keeping warped records flatter during playback by adding weight, which can reduce wobble and make the audio sound better. But it's not a magic fix for warped records; it just helps manage them a bit more effectively according to what we've found.
The manufacturer describes it as weighing 8 ounces and measuring 3 x 3 x 1.1 inches, so it's designed to fit various turntable models. However, based on our research, some Audio-Technica turntables, like the AT-LP60XBT, might have trouble with this stabilizer because of its height.
A few folks have mentioned that closing the dust cover could be a problem if there's not much room to spare. If you've got a setup where the dust cover is a tight fit, double-check the dimensions to make sure it'll work.
If this stabilizer's height is a bit much, you might need to think about a different cover or a slimmer stabilizer.
It’s all about balancing what you need for your turntable with what this stabilizer offers. A bit of planning beforehand can help you avoid any hassle and make sure everything fits together just right.
If it turns out the SpaceBen isn’t the best match, you can always look into other options to keep your vinyl collection sounding its best.
