So, about the Amazon Basics USB-A to Lightning Charger Cable—if you're wondering about fast charging—here's the scoop: it won't support fast charging by Apple's standards.
That's usually something you'd get with USB-C to Lightning cables, paired with the right power adapter.
This cable's sturdy build, with its nylon braided design, makes it a reliable pick for everyday charging. According to our research, folks appreciate its durability for regular use.
But if fast charging is what you're after, you might want to grab a different cable that supports it, like one that's USB-C to Lightning.
Regarding CarPlay, this cable works with it, but some people have found that it can disconnect sometimes, especially if the cable is moved or bent a lot.
These issues often happen if the connectors aren't fully secure or if there's some wear and tear over time. If using CarPlay is super important for you, just keep an eye on the cable’s condition and make sure it's plugged in firmly.
Overall, it's a solid pick for general use, just not for fast charging. If fast charging's your goal, definitely check out a USB-C to Lightning option.
