The Rain Design mStand isn't adjustable, which is something to keep in mind if you're looking for flexibility in angle or height. According to the manufacturer's product description and our research, it's a fixed stand, crafted from a single piece of aluminum for stability and durability.
Many folks say it works great for dissipating heat, acting as a natural heat sink, which is a plus if your laptop tends to run hot. It holds the laptop at an ergonomic height too, so it's easier on your neck and eyes during long work sessions.
The stand really shines with Apple devices like the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, thanks to its silver anodized finish that matches them well.
The manufacturer mentions it supports laptops up to 14 inches deep, with 10.4 inches being the sweet spot for its stability.
However, it might not be the best choice for larger laptops. If your laptop is deeper than 10.4 inches, it could feel a bit unstable or have some overhang. So, if you have a bigger laptop, you might want to check other options that are better suited for larger sizes.
If your laptop fits the bill, though, and you're looking for something that adds a touch of style to your setup without needing adjustments, the Rain Design mStand is a solid pick.
But if adjustability is a must for your workspace, you might need to look elsewhere.
