Yes, the OnePlus 15 supports reverse charging through both wireless and wired methods, allowing you to power compatible accessories and devices.
Reverse Charging Specifications
| Method | Speed | Best For | |--------|-------|----------| | Wireless (Qi) | 10W | Earbuds, watches, accessories | | Wired (USB-C) | 5W | Emergency phone charging |
How to Use Reverse Wireless Charging
- Enable the feature in Settings (usually under Battery)
- Place a Qi-compatible device on the center of the phone's back
- The phone detects the device automatically
- Charging begins within seconds
Best Use Cases
Wireless Earbuds
Most efficient use. Earbuds typically have 40-100mAh batteries that charge fully in minutes using only 1-2% of the OnePlus 15's battery.
Smartwatches
Quick top-ups work well. Convenient for travel when you've forgotten a charger.
Other Phones
Emergency boost only. 10W is too slow for practical phone-to-phone charging, but can provide enough power to make a call or get to a real charger.
Battery Impact
With the OnePlus 15's massive 7,300mAh battery, reverse charging barely affects your day. Topping up earbuds uses negligible power, and even sharing 15 minutes of charge with another phone only draws 5-10% of your battery.
Requirements
- Receiving device must support Qi wireless charging
- Metal cases may interfere with wireless transfer
- Best results when phone is stationary on a flat surface
Reverse charging provides convenient accessory charging without carrying extra cables. Check OnePlus 15 accessories for compatible items.
