So, you're thinking about mounting the Modern Innovations 16 Inch Magnetic Knife Bar on your refrigerator? The manufacturer describes it as a solid choice, weighing in at 2.1 pounds. It does a good job of holding multiple knives, tools, or other kitchen items securely thanks to its strong magnet.
From what we've found, lots of folks are happy with how durable and grippy it is, which helps keep your kitchen organized and safe. It usually comes with screws and anchors for wall mounting, but if you're aiming for the fridge, there are a few things to consider.
The bar's magnetic strength might be enough, but you might want extra support. Some have had luck using strong adhesive or additional magnetic strips to make sure it sticks well to metal surfaces like a fridge. This is great if you don't want to drill holes.
If you're going down this route, just make sure the surface is clean. You’ll also want to ensure the adhesive is strong enough to handle the bar and whatever you're putting on it. Some folks have had success with this method, but definitely keep an eye on things to prevent any mishaps, especially if you have kiddos around.
In the end, the knife bar is pretty sturdy. Whether you decide to put it on a wall or give it a go on your fridge, it seems like a reliable option for organizing your kitchen.
