The Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro (model BOV900BSS) has a 1 cubic foot interior, which makes it one of the largest countertop ovens Breville sells. To put that into terms you can actually picture in your kitchen: it can fit nine slices of bread on the wire rack at once, a full 14-pound turkey, or a 13-inch round pizza without folding the edges or wedging it in at an angle.

Externally, the oven measures roughly 17.2 inches deep, 21.5 inches wide, and 12.7 inches tall. That's noticeably larger than the standard Smart Oven Air Fryer (the non-Pro), so before you buy it's worth measuring the depth of your countertop and the height of any cabinets above. Breville recommends at least 4 inches of clearance above and 4 inches behind for ventilation, which is more than most people initially budget for.

Inside, the cooking cavity is wide enough to accommodate the included 13-by-13-inch enamel roasting pan and the air fry basket without you having to rotate them halfway through. Two oven racks fit simultaneously when you slide them into the upper and lower rack positions, so you can roast vegetables on one rack while a sheet pan of chicken finishes on the other. The interior light makes it easy to check on food without opening the door and dropping the temperature.

In practice, the size means you almost never have to "split a batch" the way you do with smaller air fryers. A whole sheet pan of cookies fits. A 9-by-13 casserole dish fits. A small spatchcocked chicken with potatoes around it fits. A loaf pan of banana bread plus a second loaf side-by-side fits. For a household of four, this is usually enough capacity to cook a full meal without resorting to the main oven.

Where it can feel tight: very tall items like a Bundt pan or a Dutch oven with the lid on. The interior height is the most limiting dimension, not the width or depth. If you regularly bake tall cakes or braise in a 6-quart enameled pot with the lid, plan on removing the lid or choosing a different vessel.

If counter space is a constraint, the smaller Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer (BOV860) gives up some of that internal volume — about 0.8 cubic feet — in exchange for a smaller footprint. But if you can spare the counter real estate, the Pro's 1 cubic foot is genuinely usable space, not just spec-sheet padding.
