TLDR Review: trtl Travel Pillow
Verdict
If you’re after a travel pillow that’s ingeniously designed for excellent neck support and portability, the trtl Travel and Airplane Pillow excels—especially for upright sleeping on planes. It’s a solid choice for frequent flyers seeking support rather than plush comfort, but keep in mind it may feel warm and require some adjustment for taller or larger body types. For those preferring a softer, hugging pillow, you might want to explore options like <component-button-product identifierProduct="OTHER-PRODUCT-ID">, which offers plush padding and more versatility. We think this pillow is great if you value scientifically backed support in a compact design, but if you want a more traditional soft pillow, consider other options.

- •Made from soft, breathable, hypoallergenic fleece fabric that feels cozy around the neck

Cons
- •Does not feel plush or cuddly like traditional pillows, acting more as a support brace than a soft pillow
- •Can feel warm and stuffy, particularly in enclosed airplane environments, which may cause overheating
- •Support can be inconsistent unless wrapped tightly, sometimes requiring adjustments for comfort
- •Not as supportive for taller individuals or those with larger builds; best suited around 5'5" or shorter
- •The plastic 'flipper' can be tricky to reinsert after cleaning, and the internal support adds some rigidity
- •Limited versatility—designed mainly as a neck support, not a multipurpose or plush pillow
- •Might require additional wrapping or blankets for optimal comfort, especially for larger or taller users
- •Some users report it doesn't always fit well with noise-canceling headphones or earbud use
- •The price, though justified by design and support, may seem high for those expecting a plush, traditional pillow
- •Less effective for those who prefer leaning against windows with a softer padding or for unsupported relaxations
