TLDR Review: Assassin’s Creed Shadows Limited Edition (PS5)
Verdict
*Assassin’s Creed Shadows - Limited Edition* is a visually stunning and mechanically rich journey into feudal Japan that offers two deeply contrasting playstyles and a rich world to explore. While its story might not reach the heights of similar samurai action games and the final showdown feels a bit flat, the combination of stealth, combat, and customization makes it a rewarding experience for Assassin’s Creed fans and newcomers alike. If you're looking for a captivating open-world adventure with excellent graphics and gameplay depth on PS5, this is a solid pick — especially for those who appreciate stealth gameplay. Just keep in mind the online requirements and story pacing quirks. If the emphasis on story and boss battles is a dealbreaker, you might also want to explore *Ghost of Tsushima* for a stronger narrative and more memorable antagonists.
- Top pro:
- Stunning, high-quality graphics with impressive ray tracing effects that elevate the feudal Japan setting.
