Calculated by ShopSavvy from the professional reviews and customer ratings we collected for this product.
Why this score?
The Winix 5500-2 Air Purifier receives a high score due to its exceptional air cleaning capabilities, particularly with its PlasmaWave technology and efficient filtration system that significantly improves air quality, as noted by both experts and users. However, some concerns about expensive filter replacements and issues with fan noise and durability have been raised, suggesting it may not be the optimal choice for all users, particularly in low-light settings where it unexpectedly enters sleep mode. Overall, its performance outweighs the drawbacks, making it a strong contender in its category.
