- •Seamless integration with TCL TVs allows power syncing and use of the TV remote, reducing remote clutter.
- •Simple and quick setup via HDMI eARC or Bluetooth, with plug-and-play convenience.
- •Bluetooth streaming is smooth, making it great for music as well as TV audio.
- •Offers excellent value for the price, often outperforming similarly priced soundbars.
- •The soundbar’s design is sleek and fits nicely under TVs, and a low-profile wall mount is included.
- •Enhances TV shows, movies, and gaming with balanced, powerful audio and clear dialogue.
- •The included app allows fine-tuning sound profiles and offers control features unavailable on the physical remote.
Cons
- •Initial sound quality sometimes features static-like pops that require app calibration to fix.
- •The soundbar fits tightly under some TV stands, potentially requiring the TV to be raised for comfortable remote use.
- •Volume display on the unit is minimal, using a single bar with color-coded input indicators that don’t provide detailed status without the app.
- •Remote’s sound profile selection is less intuitive than using the app for mode changes.
- •Some users may find that room calibration requires a bit of trial and error to get perfect.
Bottom Line
The TCL S45H S Class soundbar delivers impressive, immersive sound with modern features like Dolby Atmos and auto room calibration at a budget-friendly price. It’s especially well-suited for TCL TV owners seeking easy integration and a clearer, richer audio experience without fuss. Just be prepared to spend a little time with the app for the best calibration and to mitigate some minor initial static issues. If you’re looking for a soundbar with more extensive remote controls or a less cramped fit under your TV, you might want to explore alternatives, but for its price and features, this one hits a sweet spot for small to medium rooms.
