Cons
- •The included proprietary 20 bags are thin and overpriced, so most users recommend switching to alternative bags for better value and durability.
- •Some users mention that standard 13-gallon bags require minor adjustment to fit perfectly, as they tend to be slightly too large for the can’s size.
- •At $159.99, it is on the pricier side compared to typical kitchen trash cans, which may deter budget-conscious buyers.
Bottom Line
The simplehuman 45 Liter Butterfly Lid Kitchen Step Trash Can is a premium, durable choice for anyone wanting a large-capacity, pet-proof, and stylish kitchen trash can that doesn’t shout “trash.” Its smooth butterfly lid and easy bag changes make daily use a pleasure, but if you’re picky about bag quality, prepare to source alternatives.
