- •Elegant and sleek cushion design that fits comfortably and is slimmer and lighter than previous Samsung Galaxy Watch models.
- •Accurate and comprehensive health tracking, including heart rate, pulse oximeter, EKG, sleep coaching, and running coaching features.
- •Battery life lasts about two full days on a single charge, an improvement over some earlier models.
- •Clear, bright, and responsive display with excellent speakers and sound quality.
- •Seamless setup and connectivity with Android devices, working immediately out of the box.
- •Wide variety of customizable watch faces and notifications for a personalized experience.
- •Compatible with many third-party watch bands, offering styling flexibility.
- •Suitable size (40mm) that balances ease of use and a modern look, with options appealing to both smaller and larger wrists.
- •Durable construction aligned with Samsung’s reputation, providing confidence in long-term use.
Cons
- •Battery life, while improved, still requires daily or nearly daily charging for heavy users, which might be disappointing compared to some competitors boasting longer endurance.
- •Some app limitations, such as lack of support for certain popular apps like shared ride or taxi services that Apple Watch supports.
- •Battery life does not last through multiple days without charging, so sleep tracking requires an intentional charging routine.
- •Users looking for extended app compatibility or longer-lasting batteries may find better alternatives elsewhere.
Bottom Line
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 (2025) 40mm is a stylish, feature-packed smartwatch excellent for health-conscious users and those wanting a balanced mix of design and functionality. Its advanced fitness and sleep tracking, combined with strong integration with Android devices, make it a top contender in its category. However, if you prioritize multi-day battery life or require broader app support (especially rideshare apps), you might want to explore other smartwatches with longer endurance or more extensive app ecosystems. Otherwise, this watch offers an elegant, durable option with the latest Samsung technology and a solid 2-year warranty for peace of mind.
