Pros
- •The mix is convenient and easy to use; just add water for preparation.
- •Enhancements with additions like ricotta and lemon zest result in fluffy pancakes.
Cons
- •Packaging is inadequate, cannot be resealed, leaving the mix exposed to contaminants and bugs.
- •Requires transferring to another container or securing with a bag to maintain freshness.
- •Numerous reports of live bugs found within the mix.
- •The packaging design is messy and lacks a pour spout, leading to difficulty in use and messiness.
- •Pancake quality is poor, with some suggesting other brands like Great Value are better.
- •Experienced quality decline after a name change from the previously known brand.
Bottom Line
The Pearl Milling Company Buttermilk Complete Mix isn't winning any awards with its subpar packaging and pancake quality issues. If you're searching for a fuss-free pancake mix that doesn't demand an airtight container on your part, you might want to consider alternative brands like Great Value, which many users find offer a better experience.
