Cons
- •No true smart management via app—only basic notification alerts, not remote control
- •Repair and warranty process has been a nightmare, with delays, damages, and unprofessional service; one unit’s drum cracked in 8 months
- •Packaging quality decline leads to recurring shipping damages, causing frustration
- •Cosmetic issues like paint peeling, discoloration, and rust appear after less than two years, with no resolution offered by customer service
- •Dryer sometimes fails to dry completely unless set to high, requiring additional air drying
- •Customer service has been unhelpful, dismissing cosmetic issues as minor and failing to deliver promised reimbursements
- •Swings from impressive performance to significant maintenance/clouds of frustration due to service woes, ultimately questioning LG’s reliability
Bottom Line
This LG Washtower delivers convenient, space-saving laundry with reliable performance and smart notifications. However, the recurring issues with warranty claims, shipping damages, and cosmetic defects raise red flags. If you’re drawn to its sleek look and basic app features, be prepared for potential frustration if problems arise. Given the history of customer dissatisfaction, especially with after-sales service, you might want to consider a more established brand with better post-purchase support before making the leap.
