- •The ratchet features a professional-level 72-tooth design with low back drag, making it smooth and easy to use, especially in tight spaces.
- •Ratchet head is thin and narrow, allowing access to cramped areas better than older models.
- •Unique serviceable design where screws thread into the backing plate, allowing easier repairs if stripped.
- •Sockets have a solid build with a high-polish chrome finish, balancing durability without excessive bulk.
- •The durable blow-molded case includes a rare metal rod hinge, offering better longevity than typical plastic hinges.
- •A compact and well-organized set, covering about 90% of common household and automotive needs.
- •Comes with a full lifetime warranty for peace of mind.
- •Good value for the price and quality, suitable as a starter kit or a reliable addition to an existing tool collection.
- •The case fits conveniently under car seats or in tool bags.
- •Maintains high quality despite being no longer made in America.
Cons
- •The set lacks a small extension and is missing a 19mm socket, which might be a downside for some users needing those specific sizes.
- •The compact case does not stack well with other tool systems, which may be inconvenient for organized storage.
- •While quality is high, the limited 10-piece range might not cover more specialized or extensive repair needs.
Bottom Line
The CRAFTSMAN Mechanics Tool Set (CMMT34564) offers a solid, professional-grade ratchet and quality sockets in a compact, durable case with a lifetime warranty—making it a great value for basic automotive and household repairs. If you need a broader selection of sizes or a more stackable case, you might want to consider other sets; however, for most users wanting reliable, durable metric tools with excellent ratchet performance in a compact kit, this is a smart buy.
