🛒 How to Set Up Auto-Buy on iPhone or Android

Pick a target price and let ShopSavvy buy the product when it drops — no Desktop app required.

Auto-Buy is available on iPhone and Android, not just on the Desktop app. From any watched product's settings, you can name a target price and ShopSavvy will purchase the moment a participating retailer drops to that price or below.

Before You Start

  • The product must have at least one offer from a Universal Checkout (UCP) retailer — most major US retailers support it.
  • You need a wallet configured in ShopSavvy: a saved payment method and shipping address. Set this up in Settings → Wallet before turning on Auto-Buy.
  • You'll be asked to confirm you understand that real money is being charged.

How to Turn It On

  1. Open the watched product. Tap the gear icon to open the settings sheet.
  2. Scroll to the Auto-Buy section.
  3. Toggle Auto-Buy on. If you don't have a wallet set up, you'll be prompted to add one first.
  4. Enter a target price — the highest price you'd be willing to pay.
  5. Pick which retailers Auto-Buy can use. If only one UCP retailer carries the product, this is auto-selected.
  6. Pick your shipping preference: default, fastest, or cheapest.
  7. Confirm. The toggle stays on and the price threshold sticks.

What Happens Next

ShopSavvy keeps watching the product 24/7 — even when the app is closed. When a retailer's price drops to or below your target, the app places the order using your wallet. You get a push notification immediately, plus an email confirmation. On iPhone with iOS 16.1+, a Live Activity shows the purchase happening in real time.

Tips

  • Auto-Buy charges a $2.00 non-refundable service fee per successful purchase — it's billed alongside the order.
  • A target that's too aggressive may never trigger. Glance at the all-time low on the price chart and pick a target near that.
  • You can pause or change the target any time from the same settings sheet without losing your other watch settings.
  • Auto-Buy respects your retailer preferences — if you've excluded a retailer, Auto-Buy will skip it too.
