The Mohu Leaf 50 is an indoor TV antenna that comes with an amplifier to help boost TV signal reception. According to the manufacturer, it's designed with a 15 dB amplifier and Jolt Clean Peak filter technology to cut down on interference from things like cellular and FM signals, aiming to improve your TV's signal clarity and give you access to more channels.
Now, about the range: the manufacturer claims it can pull in TV broadcast signals from towers up to 60 miles away. But keep in mind, this can really depend on where you're at, how far the TV towers are, and what's in the way—like buildings or hills.
From what we've found, a lot of people do notice a boost with the amplifier, especially if you're farther from the TV towers or dealing with tricky signal issues. The filter tech seems to help by sorting out unwanted noise, making the reception cleaner.
The amplifier can be powered by plugging it into your TV via USB or using the AC adapter that comes with it, which adds some convenience to getting it set up with your current gear.
It's also worth noting that getting the best out of the Mohu Leaf 50 often involves finding the right spot—higher up or near a window might help.
Interestingly, some folks say they get better results without the amplifier, particularly if their area already has strong signals—since too much signal can sometimes make things worse. It's definitely a good idea to try it both ways to see what works best for you.
In short, the Mohu Leaf 50 is said to work up to 60 miles away, but results can differ based on your surroundings. If you're looking to snag more free TV channels, it might be worth testing out the Mohu Leaf 50, just make sure to consider any specifics about your location.
