The NEEWER ER1-120 Camera Slider gives you plenty of options for shooting, thanks to its flexible design. According to the manufacturer's product description, it can be managed with either the Neewer app on your phone or a 2.4G RT-08 remote control.
This means you can switch through modes like manual, video, and time-lapse photography once you've got everything set up. It's pretty handy for mixing up your style to fit whatever project you're working on.
Our research shows that the experience with these controls tends to vary. Some have run into hiccups with the app, like connectivity issues and navigation complexity, so you might need a bit of patience to get used to it.
But once you've got the hang of it, the app is super helpful for detailed settings adjustments. The remote is a simpler backup option. A few folks reported initial pairing challenges, but those issues usually go away pretty quickly.
Overall, many appreciate how quietly and efficiently this slider operates, making it a solid choice whether you're just starting out or are more experienced.
The manufacturer highlights its sturdy carbon fiber build, which isn't just tough but also keeps it lightweight and easy to carry—perfect if you're often shooting on the move. People have mentioned the high-quality construction and the silent motor as big pluses for preventing unwanted noise during filming.
While getting used to the app might take some time, the slider's features are impressive once you're familiar with them. The remote is a great fallback, ensuring you can get the most out of the slider without too much trouble.
With a bit of investment in understanding how it works, this motorized slider could be a great addition to your photography or videography gear.
