The Classic Accessories StormPro Heavy-Duty Boat Cover is designed for protection during storage and while towing, but there's a bit more to know about its water protection. According to the manufacturer's product description, it's meant for these purposes, but our research suggests the cover is more water-resistant rather than fully waterproof.

Folks who've used it for towing generally have good things to say about it. For instance, one person mentioned using it at speeds up to 80 mph for over 1,500 miles, even through rainstorms, and it held up well. Still, it's mostly about water resistance.

But not all experiences were glowing. For instance, if you're planning to tow with it a lot, make sure those straps are super secure. Some people have had straps break or not fasten properly, leading to water pooling inside.

The support pole that comes with it has also come under fire for not being sturdy enough, with some folks swapping it out for a PVC pipe to help keep the cover snug and prevent sagging.

So, if you intend to use the StormPro cover frequently or on long trips, it might be smart to beef up the support pole and double-check strap tightness before heading out. It might also help to think about additional rain protection, especially under rough conditions, as the cover's durability could vary depending on how and where you use it.

In short, the StormPro provides decent protection, but you might want to make a few tweaks to up the game, especially if you're towing often or in tough environments.
