The Vari VariDesk Pro Plus 36, which is pretty popular for its sit-stand capability, lets you adjust between sitting and standing easily.
From what the manufacturer describes, it has 11 adjustable height settings, making it quite handy for lots of folks. But if you're on the taller side, it's worth thinking about its maximum height.
When it's fully extended, the Pro Plus 36 may not be the best fit for people over 6 feet. Based on our research, taller individuals sometimes feel that it's not tall enough for their monitor setup. Someone who is 6'3" even mentioned needing additional risers to get their monitors to a comfortable level, which helps avoid neck strain.
Still, there are some solid positives with the Pro Plus 36. It's often praised for being sturdy and having a smooth adjustment mechanism. It can support up to 35 pounds, so handling a couple of monitors and extra gear shouldn’t be a problem.
For many, the Pro Plus 36 is a practical and budget-friendly switch from a full-sized standing desk. But, if you're taller and need something that fits your ergonomic needs right away, you might need to look into other options or plan for some tweaks.
In short, while the VariDesk Pro Plus 36 is great in terms of ease of use and build quality, it's important to think about how its height might affect your comfort if you're taller. Our research suggests you might need to make additional adjustments or explore other models for more height flexibility.
