The KitchenAid KFC3516ER 3.5 Cup Food Chopper is handy for quick food prep, but there are a few things to know about its capacity. The manufacturer says the bowl holds 3.5 cups, but for liquids, you might want to stay under that. Our research suggests that pouring in more than about 2.3 cups of liquid can risk overflow because of the central column design. To keep things mess-free, it's better to stick to around 1.5 cups of liquid.

When it comes to dry ingredients, it's more forgiving. You can fill it up to 3 cups, but maybe don't max it out to avoid spilling while chopping. Manufacturer guidelines suggest 1.5 cups for liquids, 2.5 cups for cooked fruits or veggies, and up to 3 cups for nuts. These tips help avoid overfilling and having to do extra batches for larger amounts.

Performance-wise, it's solid for various tasks like chopping veggies, nuts, or pureeing soups. Its compact design and user-friendly operation make it great for everyday tasks. Even though it's small, it packs enough power to handle usual kitchen jobs.

If you're planning to process larger quantities, you might find its size a bit limiting sometimes.

But for many, the easy use, space-saving size, and utility for everyday meals make it worthwhile. It's a good choice for quick jobs and smaller kitchens; just keep those capacity limits in mind depending on what you're looking to do.
