So, based on what we've found, the Qualirey 3 Pieces Electric Mosquito Zapper is sort of hit-or-miss when it comes to catching mosquitoes. These zappers use UV lights that do a good job of attracting and getting rid of flying insects overall, but mosquitoes don't really fall for the UV light trick as much as other bugs do.
From our research, it looks like these zappers are pretty effective with insects like gnats and flies, but they might not be the best choice for dealing with mosquitoes specifically. However, some people have had success using them to cut down on mosquitoes. They noticed better results when the zapper was placed in enclosed spaces like patios or garages, especially in spots where mosquitoes tend to be more of a problem.
It seems where you put the zapper and how much light is around can really affect how well it works. For some folks, moving it away from other lights made a big difference in attracting mosquitoes.
On the brighter side, these zappers are pretty straightforward to use. According to the manufacturer's product description, you just plug them in and turn them on. Plus, they have a protective grid, which is a nice safety feature if you have kids or pets running around.
If you're thinking about getting one of these zappers, it might help to first consider your specific situation. With the mixed feedback out there, make sure your space is a good match for something that relies on UV light.
If you’re battling more than just mosquitoes, these zappers could handle a range of bugs for you. But for a mosquito-only problem, you might need to consider other options too.
