The pop-up trimmer on the Philips Norelco Shaver Series 9000 (Model S9987/85) has received a mixed bag of feedback. According to our research, some people find it a bit unsteady, saying it doesn’t always lock into place securely.
This can lead to uneven trimming, especially in tricky spots like under the nose where you want precision. A few folks mentioned that it occasionally misses spots and didn’t quite meet their expectations.
It's generally better for light touch-ups rather than tackling thicker sideburns or mustaches. So, if you need something more heavy-duty, you might want to consider a separate trimmer.
Overall, while the shaver itself gets high marks for its shaving performance, the pop-up trimmer might not be the best fit if you’re looking for something more robust.
