The Eufy Security Camera Floodlight Camera E340 has some neat features, and the AI tracking is definitely one of the highlights. It's currently priced at $169.98, which is a drop from its original $219.99. Nice deal, right? Let's break down how the AI tracking works for you.
AI Tracking Feature
The AI tracking on the Eufy E340 detects and follows moving objects automatically. It has a 3K wide-angle lens and a 2K telephoto lens, so you get clear and detailed footage.
Plus, with 360Ā° pan and tilt, the camera can follow objects all around its view, giving you pretty comprehensive coverage.
How It Works
When the E340 spots motion, its AI kicks in to figure out if it's a person, animal, or object. This helps cut down on false alerts, like those from leaves or passing cars.
Once it locks onto a moving subject, the camera's pan and tilt feature keeps following and centering it in the frame as long as it's in view.
Additional Features
- 3K and 2K Dual Lenses: Sharper video at different distances.
- 2000 Lumens Floodlight: Great for lighting up dark areas and scaring off intruders.
- 24/7 Recording Options: Use a microSD card (up to 128GB) for local storage, no need for a cloud subscription.
- Hardwired Installation: Needs to be connected to your home's electrical system.
User Experience
According to our research, the camera is noted for its clear video and effective tracking. There have been some gripes about the app, especially with motion detection sensitivity and false alerts.
Nighttime object recognition could be better too. On the whole, though, folks seem to like the video quality and how quickly it tracks movement.
Installation
You'll need to hardwire it into your electrical system, which sounds tricky but many people found it pretty straightforward with the instructions and the Eufy Security app.
Conclusion
Even though the app has its quirks, the Eufy E340ās AI tracking, dual lenses, and strong floodlight make it a solid choice for home security without monthly fees.
