The AKNgoes 18-inch Precision Triangle Square is designed to be a reliable and accurate addition to your tools. It comes in both 12-inch and 18-inch sizes, with dual metric and imperial scales, which makes it quite handy for all kinds of woodworking and carpentry jobs. Here's a closer look at how it performs when it comes to accuracy.
It's made from high-grade aluminum alloy, which not only adds to its durability but is also built to last. The manufacturer says the scales are laser-engraved in both metric and imperial units. This not only makes them easy to read but also ensures they stay clear over time. They've also used CNC machined jig and fixture plate production techniques to help ensure the angles are spot on and the edges are nice and straight.
From our research, a lot of folks appreciate its sturdiness and dependability. It's especially helpful for aligning track saw guides and checking for squareness in cabinet construction, which highlights its practicality.
On the flip side, it's worth mentioning some feedback on its precision. While it generally performs well for typical woodworking tasks, a few people, like Vinny, have noticed slight precision issues with detailed cabinetry work. So, while it's great for framing or general trimming, it might not be the right fit for projects that need super high precision.
Another thing to watch out for is the screws on the removable base. A few people have found that they can loosen over time, but this doesn't seem to happen often and is usually pretty easy to fix.
Overall, if you need a budget-friendly and versatile tool for general tasks, the AKNgoes Precision Triangle Square is a decent pick. Just check its precision for those really delicate projects before diving into them.
It's a good choice for woodworking fans due to its combination of affordability and user-friendly design.
