The Shark NV352 Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum works pretty well on thick carpets, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind. According to the manufacturer's description, it's designed for various surfaces, including thick carpets, with its strong suction and brushroll shutoff feature. This means you can easily switch between deep carpet cleaning and more gentle bare floor cleaning, which is handy for different types of floors, thick carpets included.
From our research, it generally performs well on thick carpets, thanks to its strong suction that lifts embedded dirt effectively. However, a few folks have mentioned that its top-heavy design can make it prone to tipping over, especially on thicker carpets. This can make it a bit tricky to handle.
We also found that while the vacuum has great power, its weight might make it a bit challenging to maneuver, particularly on high-pile carpets.
Some reviews also highlight that it's good at picking up pet hair and dirt from carpet fibers. But, when it comes to very thick or plush carpets, it might struggle a bit. The dustbin is on the smaller side, so if you're dealing with a lot of dirt and debris in high-pile carpets, you'll probably need to empty it more often.
In summary, the Shark NV352 Navigator Lift-Away is a solid option for thick carpets if you can handle its heavier build and occasional tipping. These minor issues might be worth putting up with for its excellent suction and deep-cleaning capabilities. If your carpet is extremely thick, though, you might want to look into a model specifically designed for high-pile carpets.
