The Inogen One G5 16 Cell Double Battery weighs about 2.7 pounds, according to the manufacturer's product details. It's on the lighter side, which helps you stay mobile while using your oxygen concentrator.

In terms of battery life, you can expect around 13 hours of operation at a setting of 1. However, if you increase to a setting of 3, the battery life usually drops to about 7 hours. These figures can change based on the oxygen flow setting and how you breathe.

From our research, the battery life experience varies among users. Some folks find it gives them more freedom compared to the standard battery, letting them stay away from power outlets longer.

But not everyone hits those advertised maximum durations, especially on higher flow settings. This could be due to personal oxygen needs and other conditions.

There are also mentions of reliability issues over time. Some people have found that the battery doesn't hold a charge as well after a few months or that the charge level indicator isn't always accurate.

This might mean some batteries have quality control issues or just degrade with use.

While the extended use is a significant perk, it's wise to have backup power options. Having an extra battery or access to a charger can be handy, especially if you're going to be away from a power source for a while.

This can help avoid any power shortage surprises and keep things running smoothly when you need it most.
