The neck of the D'Angelico Premier EXL-1 Hollowbody Guitar is made from maple, as stated in the manufacturer's description. Maple is a solid choice since it's durable and stable, which helps keep the guitar in good shape and ensures a smooth playing experience.
If you're curious about the rest of the guitar, the top is spruce, and the back and sides are laminated maple. These materials play a big role in the guitar's rich tone, making it a popular pick for jazz musicians.
From what we've found, the guitar is made in Korea. D'Angelico works with skilled manufacturers there to maintain quality while keeping costs reasonable. This approach combines classic design with today's production techniques, offering a sound that's inspired by vintage models but with a modern twist.
We discovered that many people praise the EXL-1 for its craftsmanship and warm tones. It's known for providing both elegance and a sophisticated sound, which is why it's a favorite among jazz lovers and pro musicians. Its maple neck and bi-level design contribute to its classic feel, yet make it comfortable for modern playing.
Overall, the D'Angelico Premier EXL-1 is not just about great sound; it also offers high quality without the sky-high price of vintage instruments, which makes it a solid option for both newbies and seasoned players.
