Hey! If you're wondering about the battery life of the Tractive GPS Dog Tracker, it usually lasts between 2 to 5 days under normal conditions.
It's pretty efficient, but how long it lasts really depends on how often you're using the GPS tracking.
One handy feature is its power-saving mode when it’s connected to Wi-Fi, which helps conserve battery. Just keep in mind that there might be a slight delay when it switches back to GPS tracking if your dog moves out of Wi-Fi range.
You can tweak settings like notification frequency during active tracking to find a good balance between battery life and responsiveness.
Just a heads up, Tractive requires a subscription and uses cellular networks for GPS. It tends to work really well in places with strong cell signals.
In cities, people seem to like how reliable it is, especially for setting up virtual fences and getting alerts if your pup strays from the safe zone.
But take note, in more rural or wooded areas where cell service might be iffy, you could run into some delays in getting location updates.
The tracker’s performance improves with less tree cover, so if you're out in nature a lot, this could be something to keep in mind.
Overall, while the Tractive GPS Dog Tracker has decent battery life and useful features, its performance might vary in areas with spotty cell coverage.
If you need super quick real-time tracking, it’s something to consider. Hope this gives you a clearer picture!
